Challenge
To develop a learning system to teach people the art of scratching records or "Turntablism".
Solution
We created a visual notation system based on time and degree of rotation of a record which constructs a grid in which 'scratch patterns' can be plotted. The final system combined a manual containing 27 patterns, an interactive demo, a set of posters and a range of exercise vinyl that relate straight back to the manual.
